Director of Sponsored Research and Research Programming, Joint Science Department of Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges

Overview

The Joint Science Department houses the biology, chemistry, and physics faculty for Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges (three of the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges). Under the supervision of the Dean of the Joint Science Department, the Director will oversee all sponsored-research functions for the Department and will work with faculty to assist in the preparation of grant proposals. The Director will also lead the internal departmental data collection efforts. The Dean and the Director will work closely with Office of Sponsored Research and the Office of the Treasurer at Claremont McKenna College to ensure active coordination of effort and compliance with CMC financial regulations.

Qualifications: Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to work independently required. Must have excellent computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Previous experience in an office sponsored research and an advanced degree, preferably a master's or doctorate in a science discipline, desired.  

This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position.
