Overview
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Perform professional accounting work for University operations, including auditing, analyzing, and verifying fiscal records and reports for grants, preparing financial and statistical reports for grants, and reconciling general ledger accounts. This position is hybrid work eligible within the Boise, Idaho area. |

Department Overview: |
The COAS Research and Creative Activity (RCA) Hub promotes the healthy, meaningful, sustainable and inclusive growth of research and creative activity by providing resources to faculty, postdocs and graduate students that support scholarship. A team of RCA administrators provides administrative support for extramural funds management, both on the front-end by assisting with proposal preparation, and on the back-end by assisting with accounting, hiring, purchasing and travel. |
Level Scope: |
Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees. |
Essential Functions: |
60% of Time: 35% of the time: ● Pre-award management including working with Principal Investigators (PI )to draft budget and justification documents 5% Other duties as assigned. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
● Experience preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules and reports. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2 years experience |
Preferred Qualifications: |
● Experience with extramural funds management, including accounting, purchasing, travel and hiring in a university setting. |
