The University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking an on-campus Proposal Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring high-quality, compelling submissions that drive our business forward. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop proposal strategies, and oversee content creation to deliver proposals that meet client needs and stand out in a competitive market.
As a Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful development and delivery of high-quality, compelling proposals for our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements.
Key responsibilities include coordinating proposal timelines, developing proposal strategies, overseeing the writing and editing of proposal content, and ensuring that all proposals are submitted on time and in accordance with the client’s specifications. You will also monitor proposal performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the proposal process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal management, proposal budget preparation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and three years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire. UAF and other supervisory training.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
