Director, Research and Educational Support Services
Maine Medical Center Research Institute
Maine Medical Center seeks an experienced and forward thinking
individual to supervise and coordinate the administrative operations
and support services at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute
(MMCRI) and its rapidly growing scientific and educational programs.
The successful candidate will work directly with the MMCRI Director
and Associate Vice President of Research to insure that the goals of
the Institute are clearly communicated, supported, and achieved. This involves oversight of personnel support services; information technology; educational programs; event planning and public relations; the international office which oversees the visa program
for foreign scientists and trainees, and the Institutes building operations.
Minimal requirements include 3 to 5 years of previous management
experience, Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred. Skill set/
experience includes strong management, administrative and leadership skills, a working knowledge of research regulatory requirements, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to supporting the research mission of the Institute and its scientific staff.
