Departmental Research Administrator (DRA)
Overview
Portland State University is looking for a Departmental Research Administrator (DRA) in the office of Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA), the centralized administrative unit responsible for the oversight and management of external funding received in the form of grants and contracts for research and other scholarly activity.
The DRA is responsible for assisting with proposal and budget development, award compliance, and financial management activities for a diverse set of complex, federal and non-federal sponsored projects. The DRA fulfills these responsibilities by partnering with Investigators to plan and kick-off projects, creating forecasting models to project expenses, monitoring and approving award expenditures, and advising on award terms and conditions throughout the lifecycle.
This position requires a BA/BS with 3+ years of related experience; a Master’s or other advanced degree in a related or relevant field may substitute for years of related experience. The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $60,288 to $62,628, depending upon qualifications and experience. Remote and hybrid work schedules are available.
An ideal candidate would have direct experience serving in a similar position at an institution of higher education.
