What You Will Do:
Attain Partners is searching for a remote Post-Award Grants Management Consultant who can effectively lead and manage activities surrounding business solutions impacting cost reimbursement, grants and contracts award management, business process modernization, technology implementations, and change management for higher education institutions and not-for-profits. We are looking for experienced individuals with background in grant management, finance and process improvement to work in a challenging consulting environment serving Higher Education Institutions and Non-Profits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and submit grant proposals and supporting contracts.
- Work closely with University Staff to support post-award functions
- Develop relationships with University Staff and Principal Investigators
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise related to the operating environment of major business functions across a University
- Provides leadership to both consulting and client personnel to identify, quantify, and implement strategic recommendations
- Lead the development and implementation of surveys, interview questionnaires and client presentation deliverables
- Conduct comprehensive analyses and application of federal, state, local, and private grants
- Submit funding applications based on client specifications and funding-specific requirements
- Track submission negotiations and follow-up as needed to ensure the timely processing of all grants and contracts
- Lead team efforts in developing solutions to client challenges across major business functions
- Support new business development
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) to a variety of audiences, including C-suite client leadership
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in Higher Education grants management, accounting, finance and/or management consulting.
- Experience working with Higher Education Institutions or Non-Profits.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a project team
- Demonstrates ability to stay current in certifications, training and industry trends and practices
- Embraces entrepreneurial spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to improve the organization
- Ability to recognize personal skills, abilities, limitations, and strengths, taking appropriate action to pursue developmental activities to strengthen skills and experience
- Effective written and verbal communications a must, with presentation experience
- Experience with managing and leading teams
Desired:
- Master's Degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients
- Experience supporting sales and business development
