Grants Administrator

Overview

The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia is accepting applications for the position of Grants Administrator. This position is responsible for all departmental pre and post award administration and supervises corresponding staff. Successful candidates will possess a significant work ethic, a collegial approach to work management and division of labor, and significant knowledge of grants/contracts. The Department of Psychology staff supports a large, interdisciplinary grants program (approximately $9 million), the largest major in Arts and Sciences (approximately 1,000 majors) and an exceptionally competitive graduate program. Interaction with all of these constituencies is a part of the Grants Administrator's role.

Successful applicants will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or Finance; and experience or coursework in accounting, budgeting or financial analysis methods. Experience in pre and post award administration is required. Experience with research administration in higher education is preferred. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Experience with FastLane and grants.gov is strongly preferred.
