Grants & Contracts Specialist
Overview
Specialize in both pre-award and post-award grant management activities, with a strong emphasis on contracts management, to ensure efficient operations, compliance, and resource optimization in support of HARC's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor funding opportunity sites for new announcements.
- Identify and communicate potential funding opportunities to relevant teams.
- Review and validate completeness and accuracy of funding proposals.
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators and Program Coordinators for high-quality grant applications.
- Stay updated on funding guidelines and requirements for timely submissions.
- Perform daily post-award administration to manage project resources effectively.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring contract compliance and audit requirements.
- Maintain and update grants management information system.
- Participate in month-end financial closing processes to identify and resolve budget or expense irregularities.
- Serve as a liaison with sponsors, subcontractors, and consultants on contractual matters.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of financial system processes for enhanced efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with two years of experience, or four to ten years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet search engines. Database skills a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and quality.
