What We Are Looking For
The University Research Administrator, Post-Award (URA) assists Principal Investigators with services designed to streamline, standardize, and facilitate grant acquisition and administration through a network of administrators assigned to specific academic units. Remote work is available for this position. This position will work closely with the department Business Officers, research compliance administrators, financial analysts, and principal investigators. These positions will be filled at either the URA or Senior URA level and Baylor reserves the exclusive right to make the final determination on a candidate's qualification.
The target compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year and includes Baylor Benefits & Advantages. (The Senior level will be compensated between $75,000 and $85,000.)

The successful candidate will have an Associate's Degree, a minimum of two years of research administration experience, and an active Christian faith. A Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience are preferred with two years of progressively responsible research administration experience. A Senior level candidate is required to possess a Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience. A Master's degree is preferred for a Senior candidate. The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

What You Will Do
- Ensure provision of excellent customer service to faculty, OVPR staff, and sponsors in the ongoing administration of sponsored research by serving as an expert resource to the Baylor research community.
- Support all relevant post-award activities in coordination with Principal Investigators (PI), including selected transaction processing and monitoring, award maintenance, effort reporting, and final reconciliation for closeout.
- Maintain collegial, professional relationships with constituents, including assigned faculty and academic unit personnel, sponsor contacts, and Baylor stakeholders in- and outside of OVPR.
- Conduct periodic reviews for assigned sponsored accounts, including monitoring spending trends, recording of transactions, overdrafts, resolving small balances on awards, reviewing of restricted budgets, tracking cost sharing commitments, and monitoring of subrecipient expenditures, if applicable, to ensure accordance with federal and state regulations and guidelines, including federal OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), sponsor specific, and institutional policies.
- Maintain auditable records, including proposal and award documents, reports, transaction and review/authorization documentation, and sponsor and internal correspondence.
- Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities, as assigned.
