Contracts & Grants Officer 3 (Hybrid)
The Contracts & Grants Officer uses skills as a seasoned, experienced research administrator to independently develop and/or oversee research proposals and maintain contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. Under limited supervision, organizes, plans, and establishes an internal timeline for proposal submissions. Works on proposals of diverse scope with a thorough understanding of complex regulations. Completes and approves transactions for signature by Supervisor or other authorized institutional officials. Works on/participates in complex center proposals that may involve multiple budget years, multiple investigators, and/or multiple sub-awards. Mentors, trains, and guides less experienced staff. Participates in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures for department operations. Assists in keeping team members updated on all relevant changes.
