Director, Research Compliance & Security

Overview

The Director of Research Compliance and Security (RCS), reports directly to the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity, and serves on the VPR leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

- promotion, oversight and implementation of policies, procedures and operations for the RCS unit,

- leadership and subject matter expertise in research security and export controls,

- campus outreach and education, and

- serving as a leader and key subject matter expert and advisor for NDSU and the VPR for topics related to research integrity, compliance and security.

A Master's Degree +5 years' experience or a Bachelor's Degree +8 years' experience in one or more areas related to research compliance and/or research security is required.  Preferred qualifications include a PhD or JD, experience with export control administration and/or research security, and experience with research compliance and security in a higher education setting.
