The Sponsored Programs division in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation at Virginia Tech has an opening for a Post Award Associate of Sponsored Agreements Management to serve as part of a team of research administrators. The Post Award Associate (Research Administrator) advises and assists faculty and staff in award administration and ensures compliance with university and sponsor policies, procedures, and requirements.
Responsibilities include portfolio management of awarded sponsored programs ensuring proper stewardship and use of received resources, and the timely closeout in accordance with the terms of the award. Partners with Principal Investigators, departmental contacts and funded sponsors in the effective administration of grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. Works closely with the post award /assistant directors and team leaders in post award coordination and operations. This position will foster team work and collaboration, with demonstrated organizational skills and a high commitment to customer service by applying skills and experience to the review of research grants and agreements and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and guidelines.
