Overview
The School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for multiple full-time Grants and Contracts Administrators or Senior Grants and Contracts Administrators to join our fast-growing Office of Research Administration team. These positions are available for in person, remote, or hybrid work, and start immediately. These are salaried positions with full UVA benefits.
SEHD Grants and Contracts Administrator – Pre-Award (Remote Eligible) (position # R0040004)

Required Skills: Grants and Contracts Administrator
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: At least three years of grant and contract experience Four additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Licensure: Certified Research Administrator (CRA) is preferred
Required Skills: Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: At least five years of grant and contract experience. Four additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Licensure: Certified Research Administrator (CRA) is preferred
Compensation Information
Full-time position with an anticipated range of $60,000 – $75,000/year. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and ability to meet minimum qualifications as outlined above; includes UVA benefits.

These positions will remain open until filled. These are Exempt level, benefited positions. These positions will not sponsor applicants for work visas. These restricted positions are a 12-month appointment, and continuation is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance. The outlook for continued funding is high given SEHD’s exceptional track record of securing external funding. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.

Physical Demands
These are primarily sedentary jobs involving extensive use of desktop computers. The jobs do occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
