Project Director/Research Scientist
Overview
The NYU McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research is seeking to recruit a new member of our team to manage several ongoing research projects, including NIH-funded R01s. Reporting to the principal investigator, and working in collaboration with the executive leadership team, the project director will lend their expertise and leadership to oversee several ongoing research studies at NYU McSilver, including but not limited to study oversight, implementation, manuscript preparation, coordination with the research team, and oversight of IRB protocols. They will work with faculty and students on these research projects and will supervise study staff.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of the research process to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with IRB standards
- Ensuring that research activities do not violate ethical standards or laws
- Providing leadership to research teams, including managing budgets and hiring staff members
- Supervising research staff
- Collaborating with investigators and consultants on research study aims
- Leading research administration efforts on behalf of studies (i.e., submit progress reports, have regular budget meetings, oversee participant engagement)
