Proposal Analyst
Overview
- Provides assistance with proposal development to campus community.
- Reviews proposal packages for compliance with sponsor, federal and university requirements.
- Reviews and completes representations and certifications, and other documents
- Reviews proposals, approves it administratively for compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies issues for review and approval by various internal compliance partners, and shepherds proposals through the approval process.
- Submits proposals electronically using applicable submission portals by stated deadline.
- Provides informational assistance and training to business managers, principal investigators, and others, as needed.
- Monitors communications with stakeholders. Assists in the monitoring and maintenance of the OSP-Preaward mailbox.
- Documents and monitors the proposal lifecycle through regular communications with stakeholders and updates to appropriate databases.
- Provides excellent customer service to the University community. Leads customer service initiatives.
- Provides input for the development and/or improvement of procedures/processes for proposal development and review.
- Provides back-up support to other OSP teams.
- Manages special projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Creates and presents training programs related to proposals for University community.

- Ability to pay close attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Ability to meet deadlines; work under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
