The Business Manager in the Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for facilitating fee-for-service agreements and activities at the University. Duties include conducting market analysis, developing cost models and ensuring fee-for-service activities are aligned with University priorities and guidelines. Issues non-negotiable fee- for-service agreements and completes the agreement process by securing signatures and ensuring all related documentation is updated in internal electronic systems. Additional responsibilities include communicating with faculty, administrators, and external entities to collect information about projects, ensuring adherence to University practices.The Business Manager is also responsible for managing the Department budget. This includes budgetary projections, purchasing, analysis, development, monitoring, reconciliation and maintenance. This position also will assist with administrative oversight of the Office, including facilities management, human resources actions, and payroll.A qualified candidate should have three to five years of experience in accounting, preferably in an academic setting. University administration experience is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
Masters preferred. Must have 3-5 years' relevant experience in accounting, preferably in an academic or university setting. Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
