At our campuses in Corvallis and Bend, marine research center in Newport and award-winning Ecampus, we excel at shaping today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders. Our more than 34,000 students come from across the globe, and our programs operate in every Oregon county.

With over $400 million in competitive research grants and contracts awards, Oregon State University continues to lead the way with practical, problem-solving research that improves lives, protects natural resources and generates economic growth to transform our future. Oregon State’s researchers are top-ranked in their fields, hold leadership positions in international and national professional organizations, and have received prestigious honors and earned global reputations.

At OSU, research is conducted with high professional standards and expectations for honesty, integrity and responsibility. The Office of Research Integrity (ORI), within the Research Office, supports OSU’s commitment to engaging in exceptional research by collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to facilitate ethical research and ensure regulatory compliance.

The Research Conflict of Interest (RCOI) Administrator oversees all aspects of the research conflict of interest program. The Administrator provides programmatic oversight, leadership and advice in identifying and managing conflicts of interest that may influence the design, conduct or reporting of OSU research. The Administrator oversees the conflict of interest disclosure process; uses independent judgment to interpret and apply relevant federal regulations, state laws and institutional policy; reviews required disclosures; develops and implements policies, procedures, practices and training efforts; is responsible for the electronic research administration system as it pertains to RCOI activities; and supervises staff.

As ORI transitions to a new electronic research administration system and the program partners with offices within and beyond ORI to address broadening federal requirements, the person in this position will have an exciting opportunity to strengthen and mature the overall program.
