IEEE, the world’s largest professional organization advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, has an excellent and challenging opportunity for an experienced leader to guide the Society Executive Office, supporting the goals and decisions of the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Governing Board, Committees and President.
As the Executive Director, we’ll look to you to drive the organizational direction, operating plans, and strategies of the RAS, while managing all aspects of daily operations including the oversight of an $11 million budget and support to over 14,000 members worldwide.
You’ll be expected to cultivate internal partnerships and operational efficiencies by integrating RAS business functions with IEEE functions when practical and being a liaison between RAS and other areas of the IEEE.
Develop a partnership with the global volunteer leadership, providing continuity in strategic thinking and driving society initiatives. This will involve the support of RAS conferences, publications and industry relationships as well as ensuring global value proposition for society members.
Products supported within the society include meetings & conferences, publications, membership and professional education. Product and program management includes the disciplined use of metrics and a portfolio review process in collaboration with structured product line volunteer groups.
