Grants and Contracts Specialist
Overview
The LSUHSC Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center (SSSCC) has an immediate opening for a Grants & Contracts Specialist (GCS). The GCS will be responsible for facilitating the grant process for all researchers and clinicians associated with the SSSCC and the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LCRC). The incumbent will have responsibilities in pre- and post-award management for grants and contracts, financial and faculty data reporting, and program management. This includes independently developing, managing, and coordinating the entire grant/contract application process, fostering collaborative research efforts between investigators, preparing and monitoring budgets and IRB approvals, editing grant proposals, and managing the transfer of grants from other institutions for new faculty hires. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, budgeting, editing, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 4 years of professional level work experience
- Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of professional level work experience.
