Reporting to and working closely with the Vice President for Research Administration, Dr. Robert Nobles, the AVP will be a collaborative leader deeply committed to supporting Emory’s research goals through providing the highest quality of support and shared services. The AVP will jointly oversee nine RAS units across the University, including more than 180 pre- and post-award professionals, with Chief Business Officers (CBOs) and Department Administrators. The AVP will foster strong, collaborative relationships within the Office of Research Administration (ORA) and across the Emory enterprise, including management practices with Chief Business Officers to create service models that facilitate research growth and transparency with faculty within the academic units. As one of the nation’s leading research institutions, Emory is built on an advantageous combination of resources and global partnerships. The AVP will enhance research goals, provide best-in-class service, and keep pace with a thriving research enterprise that enjoys a national reputation and ambitious plans.
