Grants Manager for the PAIR Center, University of Pennsylvania, Hybrid Work Options Available
Overview
The Palliative and Advanced Illness Research (PAIR) Center is seeking a full-time Grants Manager (GM) A/B who will be responsible for day-to-day pre-award and post-award operations. The PAIR Center’s mission is to generate high-quality evidence to advance healthcare policies and practices that improve the lives of all people affected by serious illness. The Center seeks to find an energetic, empathetic, supportive, effective team-player to help support the exceptional research our Faculty engage in. This position will support 12-15 faculty members under the supervision of the PAIR Manager of Administration and Finance with support from the Director of Research Operations.
The Grants Manager A/B will manage post award activities, including account setup, and monitor/ review all sponsored projects expenditures including fund projections. They will monitor and enforce compliance with sponsor guidelines and OMB Uniform Guidance, meet with principal investigators to discuss and advise them on financial issues related to their portfolios, maintain salary grids and work with payroll coordinator to ensure faculty and staff are paid correctly, and assist in the preparation of effort reports. Under the supervision and guidance of the Manager of Administration and Finance (MAF), they will also participate in specific projects, including the annual budget submission and the development and implementation of standard operating procedures throughout the Center. The Grants Manager will have the opportunity to coordinator the purchasing efforts for the Center and maintain related SOPs.
The Grants Manager A/B will facilitate the preparation and submission of grant proposals for the Center. They will advise and lead budget preparation along with ensuring that proposals follow the guidance provided by the sponsoring agency. This position will report to the Center’s MAF and will have a dotted reporting line to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services (ORSS).

Salary varies based on experience and education: $55,000-$85,000.
