We are looking for a teammate to fill the role of Director, Clinical Research Operations for our Sioux Falls, South Dakota location. Our team continues to grow and expand, currently 100 employees strong in our central clinical trials office. Sanford Clinical Research has six performance sites, with a portfolio of 300 actively enrolling studies at any given time. Trials include phase I-IV, 15+ therapeutic areas, federally-funded, industry, and investigator-initiated.

Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned laboratory focus, providing general oversight, management and leadership for large scale multi-site research projects. Provide oversight for development and implementation of new research projects and the assurance of good research practices. Possess an in-depth knowledge of federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of research, with the skill and ability to implement all aspects of focused research study protocols. Perform all responsibilities and duties in accordance with institution and industry policy and procedures and the overall goals and objectives of Sanford Research. Responsible for overseeing data collection sites, compiling and analyzing data, writing reports, identifying funding sources and assisting with grant writing.

Able to define the scope of work, deliverables and timelines for various projects, and make decisions regarding allocation of personnel and resources. Possess the ability to implement research protocol in the subject discipline with the ability to troubleshoot issues. Possess knowledge of modern research methods, data collection and analysis.

Demonstrate experience in presenting and evaluating data, and the ability to work collaboratively with a research group or team. Responsible for informed consent form development, budget creation, staffing assessment, logistics and feasibility of protocol within the department. Act as the liaison with the Institutional Review Board and other research departments as required. Occasional local travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

Additional Job Description

Master’s degree in related field required.

Five years clinical research experience required. Minimum of five years management experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license required
