Center Research Administrator
Overview
Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) is the largest private medical research institute in Wisconsin. MCRI is the research division of Marshfield Clinic Health System, an integrated multispecialty health care system with more than 10,000 employees including more than 1,200 providers comprising 90 specialties. MCRI consists of research centers in clinical research, agricultural health and safety, epidemiology, human genetics, biomedical informatics and integrated laboratory services. It also provides a range of support services for physician and scientist investigators, including biostatistics, protocol and grant preparation, research publication and core laboratory support.
The Center Research Administrator is responsible for the following functions: administrative management; contracts and grants management; financial management, intellectual property and technology transfer, training and educational programming, human resources management, regulatory compliance, ethics and human subjects protections requirements, information services, and other duties as designated by the Center Director. The Center Research Administrator strengthens the overall Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) team by working effectively with investigators and staff as well as the Directors of MCRI Administration and Support Offices to contribute to the overall research mission. She or he coordinates with collaborating academic medical centers, universities, other research organizations, and research sponsors, both government and private.

Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in research administration, health care administration, business administration or related field; Master’s Degree in research administration, health care administration, business administration or related field.
- Four years of experience in healthcare research and/or grants management.
- Four years of management experience and/or supervision of personnel.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) awarded by the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) awarded by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professional – Certified Professional (ACRP‐CP) awarded by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
