Director, Research Administration & Professional Development
Overview
The Director of Research Administration position within the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) in the Office of Research Support Services (ORSS) working with the Executive Director serves as the main PSOM point of contact for the design and development of curricula and apprenticeship program of the various target areas of research administration to create the Perelman School of Medicine professional development program in research administration to ensure a reliable supply of highly proficient research administration staff for grants management roles. This development also includes serving as a mentor for our grants management personnel.
In addition, the Director of Research Administration position oversees proposal development and is responsible for the general management and oversight of all proposal submissions for the school. Oversight includes monitoring quality of proposal submissions for departments that have authority to submit on their own representing the university as signing official (SO).
