Research Administrator, UNLV Office of Sponsored Programs
The Research Administrator assists faculty members, principal investigators and department grant administrators in the development, preparation, and submission of sponsored proposal for research, service projects, and other creative activities.
- Prepare, review and submit applications and ensure proposals are complete and in compliance with university and NSHE/UNLV policies, state and federal laws and regulations, and align with the policies, procedures and requirements of sponsoring agencies,
- Work with the Contract Manager to review and negotiate proposals and awards,
- Administer award information in Workday,
- Administer sponsored projects for programmatic compliance,
- Review budgets during life cycle for amendments and budget modifications,
- Assist with developing and providing relevant training and presentations to faculty and staff,
- Cayuse coming soon.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 3 years of experience in program and/or research administration. Demonstrated knowledge working with deadlines and under pressure and the ability to prioritize tasks. Certified Research Administrator credentials must be obtained within 2-4 years of employment, depending on level of experience to maintain position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Research Administrator, more than three years of experience in preparation, processing, and negotiation of grant and contract proposals and awards. Sponsored programs and University experience. Takes independent approach to workload. Communicates effectively with diverse groups. Individual who pays attention to detail and is accustomed to a fast paced environment with many deadlines.
SALARY RANGE
- $68,000-$75,000 based on experience
