This Program Administration Manager III will manage the Psychiatry Grant Administration enterprise and will:
- Work with department and research leadership to set strategies, design and implement tools, and provide financial oversight in support of the departmental research enterprise.
- Responsible for budget proposals and recommendations and establishes budget control system for controlling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations
- Work with individual research faculty and their staff to facilitate the identification, pursuit, and management of research funding
- Personnel management of research administration staff
- Develop and implementing financial systems; Build tools to track/analyze/report on research progress within the department
- Provide department representation in hospital reviews
- Create systems and procedures for research administration and compliance tasks to ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines
- Manages project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process
- Serve as a research administrator for a limited portfolio of researchers and/or research labs.
- Provide technical advice, policy interpretation, and guidance for application of appropriate procedures to staff, students and administrators
- Collaborate with central department functions and colleagues in sister departments to work on common tasks or programs.
To qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years’ experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
