Time & Effort System Coordinator (Data/Report System Coordinator) - Office of Research Administration

Overview

In this exciting position, you will provide functional support, manages the Time & Effort system and provides systems and end user support. Provides day-to-day end user support; conducts end-user training and education and serves as a training resource to provide assistance with basic system functionality, report capabilities, etc. Maintains system procedures and training manuals.  Ensures data integrity. Monitors information / data entered in systems database and performs quality review and audit to ensure data accuracy and completeness to standards and requirements. Follows up on exceptions, missing or incomplete information. Maintains and understands pertinent regulatory guidelines, and CSMC policies as necessary to the Office of Research Administration.

The ideal person in the role will possess the kind of personality that enjoys helping others and meeting new people for the purpose of showing them how to enter their weekly effort in their T&E Timecards. Trainees are not often responsive and may require frequent follow-up. Must the able to adapt while conducting required training to facilitate trainees getting up and running and getting through the basic T&E tasks. 

In this role, you will need to be:

  • Customer service friendly and patient with your end-users.
  • Strong ability to set up new user profiles in the T&E System.
  • Must be very detail oriented and organized and be timely when responding to emails. 

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of related experience required with a preference in an Academic Medical setting.  
  • Solid knowledge of Federal regulations governing time & effort, analytical and reporting tools, and excellent organizational skills.  
  • Able to deal with diverse user population and skill sets; functions well as a team player.  
  • Highly organized with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage own time effectively with little supervision.  
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
