Associate Vice Provost for Research

Overview

Baylor University is seeking an Associate Vice Provost for Research to directly support the Vice Provost for Research by providing oversight on research administrative duties, such as research compliance, data analysis, pre-award and post-award administration and research advancement. Position Summary

The Associate Vice Provost for Research is responsible for leading the development, enhancement and implementation of research infrastructure as it relates to compliance, data systems, pre-award and post-award administration and research advancement. Responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with internal and external constituents such as vice presidents, deans, faculty, etc. in the development and implementation of Baylor's goals and objectives
  • Establishing and implementing short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and standard operating procedures related to the research enterprise
  • Monitoring and evaluating research data and/or statistical reports to federal and state agencies, other external groups (e.g. US News & World Report, NSF HERD Survey)
  • Ensuring all contractual and financial obligations are managed and compliant with institutional, state, and federal regulations

 

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant work experience is required. A Master's degree and 9 years of relevant work experience are preferred.
