Finance Manager, Department of Family Medicine & Public Health Sciences

Overview

Reporting to the Director, Family Medicine the Manager, Finance (Family Medicine) assists with managing the financial affairs of the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences (DFMPHS). Monitors accounts, programs and projects and provides recommendations for improved processes and services. Approves expenditures for all units and evaluates current operations in order to identify and implement improved procedures, policy and strategies. Coordinate sponsored program administrative functions for the Department. This includes fiscal and administrative review of sponsored grant and contract proposals; review and processing of agreements; and the management and processing of financial transactions. Position duties require knowledge of and experience in University accounting and budgeting and sponsored project administration.
