Job Title: Senior Grant Specialist

Summary of Job Duties: The Senior Grant Specialist will assist university faculty, staff, and students locating appropriate funding opportunities. This position will coordinate, manage and approve the submission of proposals as assigned. The Senior Grant Specialists will maintain cooperative working relationships with representatives of sponsoring agencies. This position will lead and/or participate in special projects to further the department’s goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Five years or more of progressively responsible experience within the field of research administration/sponsored programs administration, in a university, non-profit or research institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) – must obtain certification within 12 months of beginning position and must maintain certification while in the position
- Advanced degree in business/public administration, finance, accounting law, or other applicable fields
- Research administration experience in a higher education setting
- Experience with electronic proposal submission systems
- Experience with the University of Arkansas BASIS system or similar enterprise accounting systems
- Experience with Streamlyne (RazorGrant)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Knowledge of federal regulations and other federal agency policies and regulations
- Knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly with Excel and Word
