Research Administrator
Overview
This position is responsible for all areas of research administration, including both pre- and post-award functions. The Research Administrator (RA) is expected to provide sponsored project support from proposal, through award, to project close out also known as cradle-to-grave administration throughout the life of awarded sponsored projects. The position administers over 100+ awarded projects. In this role, the RA will assist faculty and staff to provide, but not limited to:
- Monitor funding opportunities and provide program information,
- Prepare, review and submit applications and ensure proposals are complete and in compliance with university and NSHE policies, state and federal laws and regulations, and align with the policies, procedures and requirements of sponsoring agencies,
- Work with the Contract Manager to review and negotiate proposals and awards,
- Prepare contractual agreements,
- Administer information in Workday,
- Administer sponsored projects for fiscal (effort, expenditures, cost-sharing) and programmatic compliance,
- Monitor budgets,
- Assist with developing and providing relevant training and presentations to faculty and staff,
- Other duties may be required or assigned.
