Overview
Position Summary
- Provides broad oversight and guides strategic planning for the Cancer Research of Wisconsin and Northern Michigan (CROWN) Consortium program by working closely with each main institution.
- Coordinate business functions, grant obligations, budgeting and fiscal management, clinical protocol management, and quality controls.
- Builds working relationships and engages consortium member participation through education, quality improvement initiatives, and providing project support to develop and maintain the required standards necessary to deliver quality research services.
- Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of all areas of responsibility.
- Performs duties related to the business operations of CROWN and exercises discretion and independent judgment.
Education
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management or Science-Required
Masters degree in Business Management or Project Management-Preferred
Experience
2+ years leadership experience in a healthcare setting-Required
2+ years clinical research program development and implementation experience-Required
3-5 years research experience with at least 2 years of progressive leadership experience in the area of oncology-Preferred
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), NCI and Office of Human Research Protections (OHRP) regulations along with along with applicable local or state laws-Required
Knowledge of federal grant administration, NCI trials and pharmaceutical trials-Required
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Relevant research certifications such as Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA), Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) certification, Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI) - Research Administration Certificate, etc. Required within 2 years from hire or from when eligibility criteria are met.

Research Administrator will be employed by HSHS St. Vincent Hospital working with the CROWN consortium for the term of the grant.
