Position Overview: The Sponsored Projects Analyst serves as an extension of the Office of Research to the School of Pharmacy. This position works with Principal Investigators, faculty and staff to coordinate pre- and post-award activities for grants and/or contracts. Post-award responsibilities include budget analysis and projection, preparation of financial reports, monthly expenditure review, reconciliation, preparation for project close-out, and various other functions. In addition, the Sponsored Projects Analyst will monitor project accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, assist with grant development activities including proposal and budget preparation, review and internal routing in Cayuse SP and Cayuse 424 systems, and provide guidance on funding agency regulations, as well as Chapman University’s administrative and fiscal policies. Other duties as assigned.
