Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation is seeking a Senior Director of Sponsored Research Services to join our team. This position will provide consolidated leadership over all aspects of pre-award and post-award activity related to CCHMC externally funded (“sponsored”) programs and all research contracting, including industry sponsored research.
This key role is accountable for providing mentorship, guidance and oversight to staff. Use sound business management practices related to pre- and post-award administration; ensuring a focus on customer service (to faculty, divisional staff, and sponsors) while at the same time providing institutional oversight and sponsor stewardship. Primarily responsible for establishing and implementing policy to aid the institution in minimizing compliance risk related to sponsored research activities.
Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree, preferably in a business or science-related discipline and 7 years of progressive and directly relevant experience in complex research/academic environment or a Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10 years directly relevant experience. 3 years management and supervisory experience required. Experience with sponsor systems such as Grants.gov and enterprise-wide financial, compliance and industry-specific systems also required.
Experience with ClickCommerce, PeopleSoft/ePAS Grants suite of modules desired. Strong experience working with faculty, staff, and external agencies on complex issues including management of potential, perceived, or actual conflicts of interest preferred.
