Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Cedars-Sinai) seeks applications and nominations for the position of Executive Director, Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CCTO). Whether demonstrating the initiator genes responsible for glioma; leveraging nano-medicine to transverse the blood-brain barrier; identifying a new mechanism for the progression of pancreatic cancer; or developing novel imaging technologies capable of revolutionizing cancer diagnosis and detection, Cedars-Sinai experts have been recognized for their contributions by the preeminent peer-reviewed journals in the field. Today, Cedars-Sinai is the largest provider of cancer care in the Los Angeles area and the second largest in the state.

The Executive Director, Cancer Clinical Trials Office will play an essential role within this rapidly-growing research enterprise. Providing the necessary leadership, administrative and fiscal oversight of the CCTO operations, the Executive Director will provide strategic oversight of all clinical, administrative, personnel, regulatory, and financial functions along with the ongoing management of clinical research activities to the various satellite sites and affiliates during a period of sustained growth. Directing the various units within the CCTO by establishing, implementing and monitoring operational standards, the Executive Director will serve as the subject matter expert on best practices within clinical trials management and on regulatory matters. With responsibility for the strategic growth and continued success of the CCTO, the Executive Director will develop, implement, and maintain the infrastructure necessary to support National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in both high level strategic planning and operational execution within a clinical trials office at a designated cancer center or relevant setting coupled with a track record of serving as a dynamic change agent in a fast-paced environment. A thorough understanding and commitment to excellence in cancer research operations is required.
