Research Contract Specialist
Overview
The Dignity Health Research Institute – Arizona has an opportunity for a Research Contract Specialist to join our research administration team. This position performs the following tasks on a daily basis:
- Initiate, coordinate, implement and manage the clinical trial contracting process from submission request through contract execution
- Review, analyze, and negotiate contract terms in accordance with institutional guidelines for clinical trial and basic science research projects
- Employ project management principles, problem-solve and independently prioritize in order to effectively manage high volume pending contract caseload
- Develop positive working relationships with attorneys, physicians, industry sponsors, contract research organizations, hospital departments, other internal staff and external entities in order to drive contracting process toward final execution
- Review research protocols for the purpose of conducting budget analysis and developing clinical trial budgets
- Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels internal and external to organization
- Work well independently as well as in a team environment to support administration efforts
Qualifications: 3 years of experience in healthcare industry, with at least 1 year of experience in healthcare-related contracting. Clinical research contracting experience preferred.
Education Requirement:
Juris Doctor degree or Master’s Degree in related area (preferred) OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare industry contracting.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Positive attitude, flexible approach to problem-solving, ability to multi-task and respond effectively to rapidly changing priorities with team-oriented focus are paramount.
