Pre-Award Manager
Overview
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Pre-Award Manager, which is located within the Sponsored Projects office and is responsible for compliant preparation and submission of grant and contract proposals for the University faculty. The individual supervises pre-award staff and assists faculty with proposal preparation, review, and negotiation, and contract interpretation of awards. This individual works with the Sponsored Projects Post-Award and Grants and Contracts Managers, and assists the Assistant Vice President for Research Administration in establishing, updating, and implementing departmental and institutional policies and procedures. This position has signature authority to legally commit the University in sponsor projects. This position serves as consultant to principal investigators and other university faculty and staff regarding pre-award processes, laws, and regulations.
The Pre-Award Manager reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Research Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno but acts in an autonomous manner to setup, manage, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to the fiscal and administrative oversight of sponsored projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of related professional work experience or a Master's degree and two years of related work experience. Related work experience includes research related activities and staff supervision.
